Chambers USA Recognizes Brinks Gilson & Lione Attorneys and Firm

CHICAGO (April 30, 2019) – Brinks Gilson & Lione, one of the nation's largest intellectual property law firms, recently received its 15th consecutive Chambers USA ranking for IP, including patent, trade secret, and copyright, among others.

Brinks Ranked in Chambers USA 2019

New this year, the firm’s Ann Arbor office and its managing shareholder, Steven Oberholtzer, were ranked in Michigan. In Utah, Chambers again recognized Ryan Marshall, managing shareholder of Brinks’ Salt Lake City office. Chambers also honored four individual Brinks attorneys in Chicago, including:

  • Seasoned litigator Gary Ropski was elevated this year and now ranks alongside trademark veteran Jerome Gilson as a Senior Statesperson.

  • Shareholder Laura Beth Miller, co-chair of Brinks’ litigation practice, was again recognized for her “considerable experience handling complex IP disputes.”

  • Shareholder William Frankel was again recognized for his extensive experience and “considerable skill advising on complex copyright, patent and trademark matters.”

Chambers evaluation of Brinks focused on qualities such as technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, and commercial astuteness. The rankings of individual shareholders were based on legal knowledge, effectiveness, and client service.
