E. Brandon (Brad) Nykiel

“Even if my clients haven’t directly asked for something, I try to anticipate what they will need and provide it.”

Brad Nykiel focuses his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, as well as opinions. He regularly advises clients on a range of intellectual property rights issues, handling clearance work and providing right-to-use analysis. Brad’s clients are leading companies working primarily on electrical and electrical-mechanical technologies.

With a background in electrical engineering, Brad was a research engineer with Wright-Patterson Air Force Research Labs for three years before entering law school. That experience informs his patent practice as he gained invaluable insights into the day-to-day demands on engineers and other inventors. As a result, Brad understands how to support his clients in ways that best serve their immediate needs and broader business goals.

Clients appreciate Brad’s responsiveness and attention to every detail, including his ability to manage the many deadlines inherent in patent prosecution. He is known for thoroughly addressing client questions, providing information they may not have even thought they needed yet. In this way, Brad is always thinking forward to what his clients will require. He keeps current on the law, adapting his practices as quickly as possible to ensure his clients maintain a competitive edge and can leverage new opportunities.
