Ralph Gabric will speak on a panel on Tuesday, November 12 entitled “Enforcement’s Role in Your IP Strategy: A Balanced Approach.” The panel will explore the ability to build a balanced enforcement strategy that ties into overall IP strategy and organization’s goals.

At a special Lunch and Learn Workshop, Carl Charneski and Jay Reiziss will be presenting “An Insider's View on ITC Enforcement Strategies.”  This interactive workshop will provide insights on best practices and strategies in ITC Section 337 IP investigations. Former ALJ Carl Charneski will provide his observations from behind the bench at the ITC and Jay Reiziss will provide his observations from his years serving in the Office of General Counsel, the Office of Commissioner Koplan, and the Office of Unfair Import Investigations. Comparisons and contrasts with practice in the Federal Courts will be provided, including discussing the advantages and disadvantages of cases in the different forums. The workshop will include a discussion of recent developments in practices and procedures at the ITC and predictions on how the practice might look in the future. The practices and procedures of the various ALJ's at the ITC will be discussed.
