Co-Founder Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione Promotes the Chicago Intellectual Property Alliance's "IP Day in Chicago"

CHICAGO — The Chicago Intellectual Property Alliance (CIPA), a not for profit organization co-founded by the intellectual property law firm of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, recently sponsored a day-long conference at Loyola University Chicago School of Law in Chicago, Illinois, on Thursday, October 21, 2004. The program featured key government officials, a federal judge and a corporate executive presenting their perspectives on current issues, legal developments, recent decisions and future trends in intellectual property.

“This was an exciting opportunity to learn about critical and timely issues of importance to our practice and to our clients,” said Brinks partner Jerome Gilson, an officer and director of the Alliance. “Our firm is proud to be an integral part of CIPA’s efforts to position Chicago and the Midwest as the IP center for new ideas, programs and education.”

Speakers included Nicholas P. Godici, Commissioner for Patents, Lynne G. Beresford, Acting Commissioner for Trademarks, Marybeth Peters, Register of Copyrights, Hon. J. CIPA is an association comprised of committed intellectual property practitioners, law schools, associations and businesses in Chicago and the greater Midwest.
