CHICAGO – Brinks attorneys Meredith Martin Addy and Timothy Q. Delaney were honored for their contributions to the Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA) at the organization’s Annual Bench and Bar Conference in Key Biscayne, Fla., on June 23, 2011.
Ms. Addy, who chairs Brinks' Appellate practice, received a Committee Individual Leadership Award for her work with the FCBA Conference and Educational Programs Committee. Mr. Delaney, formerly the chair of Brinks' Litigation practice, received a Committee Leadership Award for his contributions to the FCBA Legislation Committee.
Meredith Martin Addy has earned extensive recognition as a leading appellate lawyer and has led several important Federal Circuit victories. Her practice also focuses on intellectual property cases in federal district court. Ms. Addy works with some of the nation's highest-profile companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, software, scientific research and engineering sectors. She is a member of the Federal Circuit’s Advisory Council and has testified on the state of the Federal Circuit and patent appeals before a subcommittee of Congress. Ms. Addy currently serves as co-chair of the FCBA Annual Bench & Bar Planning Committee and was appointed to the Board of the FCBA for the upcoming year.
Timothy Delaney has broad experience in patent, trade secret, unfair competition and breach-of-contract matters. He has litigated in a wide range of technical fields, including electronics, electro-mechanical devices, magnetism, computer hardware, Internet, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, automotive components, metallurgy and athletic footwear. Mr. Delaney’s experience includes bench and jury trials, appellate practice and various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration.
