Brinks Gilson & Lione Shareholder Vander Schaaf To Present No. Virginia Tech Council's "Tech Patent of the Year" Award

WASHINGTON, DC -- Lyle Vander Schaaf, a shareholder and litigator at intellectual property law firm Brinks Gilson & Lione, will present the Tech Patent of the Year Award at the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s (NVTC) TechCelebration at The Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner in McLean, Va., on December 11, 2017.

NVTC Tech Awards is a program honoring influential leaders and innovative companies in the region's technology community. Finalists for 2017 Tech Patent of the Year are BluVector, Deque Systems, MITRE Corporation, and Vencore. Other awards to be presented are Tech Executive of the Year, Tech Company of the Year Under $50 Million in Revenue, Tech Company of the Year Over $50 Million in Revenue, and VEI Veteran Service Award.

Intellectual property litigator Lyle Vander Schaaf has an active practice in investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission and parallel proceedings in federal court, addressing alleged patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and other alleged unfair practices in import trade. He is managing shareholder of Brinks Gilson & Lione’s office in Washington DC.

NVTC is a trade association for the technology community in Northern Virginia.
