Brinks Gilson & Lione Attorneys Fleming and Marino to Present at ACC Chicago Annual Intellectual Property Law Dinner

CHICAGO—David S. Fleming and Virginia Wolk Marino, attorneys at intellectual property law firm Brinks Gilson & Lione, will be featured speakers at the ACC Chicago Annual Intellectual Property Law Dinner Program on August 24, 2017, in Chicago.

Fleming and Marino will join Judge Matthew F. Kennelly in an hour-long discussion about the procedural and substantive issues in a typical trademark case. Collectively, the participants will provide the perspectives of a federal judge and litigators on pre-litigation investigations through discovery, motions and trial, and other issues typically brought to bear when contemplating and supervising a trademark case.

Brinks shareholder David Fleming has over 30 years of litigation experience, focusing his practice on intellectual property issues for clients in a range of industries. He currently serves as Brinks’ General Counsel; he has served on the Board of the International Trademark Association, as counsel to the Board of the International Trademark Association, and as chair of its Annual Meeting and other programs. Fleming speaks frequently on trademark issues, and is the co-author of the book Trademark Litigation Practice.

Brinks shareholder Virginia Wolk Marino focuses her practice on all aspects of domestic and global brand protection, copyright, and unfair competition law, representing clients in civil litigation in federal district court and in oppositions and cancellation actions at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She regularly assists clients with online intellectual property protection, including web-based trademark protection and vigilance.
