Brinks Gilson & Lione Attorney Laura Beth Miller To Share Strategies for Litigation at US International Trade Commission at IP Strategy Summit
September 21, 2017

CHICAGO—Laura Beth Miller, a shareholder and litigator at intellectual property law firm Brinks Gilson & Lione, will be a featured speaker at Centerforce’s Sixth Annual IP Strategy Summit at the Park Lane Hotel on Central Park in New York on November 1, 2017.

Miller will join in-house counsel from Microsoft and JCPenney in presenting “What is the Right Strategy and What to Expect at the ITC.” The panelists will examine the recent sharp rise in patent cases being brought before the U.S. International Trade Commission by companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, electronics, and telecommunications industries. They will discuss when it makes sense to litigate before the Commission, how to prepare, what to expect, and how best to use the ITC in parallel proceedings.

Miller is a deeply experienced intellectual property litigator with more than two decades of trial and arbitration experience in patent, trade secret, and trademark law, including multiple cases at the ITC. She counsels clients on complex commercial issues, including licensing, antitrust, and contract matters affecting business operations, product services, and technology. Miller is a frequent speaker and author on intellectual property issues both in the U.S. and abroad.

Centerforce's Sixth Annual IP Strategy Summit provides a forum for in-house counsel to network with thought leaders and learn how the changing landscape in intellectual property law impacts portfolio strategy. Brinks Gilson & Lione is a sponsor of this year's conference. More information is at http://www.cf-conferences.com/conferences/the-6th-annual-ip-strategy-summit-nyc/overview.
