Frankie Wong has over 10 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications covering hardware and software aspects of IC chips, handsets, base stations, subsystem controllers and system integration of 3G and 4G multi-carrier wireless network communications in multi standards: LTE, 3GPP, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, CDMA, WCDMA, UMTS, WiFi, Bluetooth, WLAN, VoIP, cyber traffic securities and MIMO antenna systems. Mr. Wong has also drafted and prosecuted patent applications in other technology areas including Internet social network multimedia applications, computer art, flat panel displays manufacturing and utility high power transmissions, control and measurements.
Prior to joining Brinks, Frankie has drafted over 25 patent applications and prosecuted more than 230 patent applications with over 75 allowances. Since joining Brinks over a period of three and half years, he has drafted over 60 patent applications and has prosecuted over 430 patent applications with over 180 allowances. Frankie’s patent prosecution experiences span from drafting office actions, Pre-Appeal Briefs, Appeal Briefs, Reply Briefs to conducting Examiner’s interviews. He was successful in an Oral Hearing before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
With over 20 years in RF and microwave circuits, communication system subassemblies design, and manufacturing experience in the Silicon Valley Hi Tech industries, Frankie’s practical engineering design solutions approach and understanding of the current technology trends is an asset to the firm with assisting clients from harvesting invention disclosure to drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Frankie is also bilingual and can conduct inventors’ interviews in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
