Emily Kappers focuses her practice on trademark, trade dress, unfair competition, and copyright law. Emily represents a diverse range of clients, from large corporations to start-up companies both in the United States and internationally.
Emily’s counseling practice includes the prosecution and enforcement of trademarks and copyrights, analyzing trademark searches, and conducting trademark clearance.
Emily’s litigation experience includes instituting Uniform Name Dispute Resolution Policy proceedings before the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICAAN), and motion practice in federal district courts.
Emily acts as a chair of the Connecting Kids to the Arts initiative through the Junior League of Chicago where she volunteers at organizations servicing ill and disadvantaged children and encourages their self-expression through the arts.
