Andrew McElligott

“A good litigator prepares and knows the advantages of being able to make a better argument for the other side than they can make for themselves.”

Drew McElligott focuses his practice on patent and trademark litigation. He represents leading companies in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, as well as consumer products manufacturers.

Prior to law school, Drew spent four years conducting scientific research at the Loyola University Cardiovascular Institute, where he gained invaluable experience in a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures as well as viral and histological techniques.  This strong technical background informs every aspect of Drew’s litigation practice, from understanding the core technologies of his clients’ products to crafting creative legal strategies that protect and defend their innovations.

Drew works to achieve his clients’ legal and business goals in the short term while also thinking forward to protect their long-term interests.  Maintaining that perspective is part of his commitment to providing comprehensive and efficient legal service.
